Well, following on from our first Zoom Annual General Meeting, we bid a very fond and grateful farewell to our retiring president, the wonderful Mel Brander. Like all of us, she certainly didn’t anticipate having to steer Semple through the nightmare of Covid (on top of all the work involved with the proposed “new build”, not to mention keeping us all fit!) She has done a truly marvellous job during these difficult times, leaving Semple as the fastest club to get all its members back on the water. Our grateful thanks, Mel.

We would also like to extend our gratitude and thanks to Joy (Secretary) and Matt (Clubmaster) who have both stepped down from the committee.

We’d like to extend a warm welcome to Eleanor Inglis as our new president, along with Caroline Parker as vice-president, two ladies dedicated both to rowing and to Castle Semple. They will be fantastic!

And, in true CSRC style, it was MUCH more straightforward than the parallel presidential goings-on across the pond...

We now have a new committee which can be seen on our Committee page so if you have any questions or things to bring to committee please feel free to talk to anyone there.

If you couldn't make it to the AGM but you would like to get involved in any of our sub committees or projects (eg fundraising, clubhouse development, regatta etc) please either talk to a member of the committee or use the contact details to email them.
