The table below shows this years fees.

Membership Fees

Our membership runs from the 1st of February to the 31st of January each year. We calculate membership fees on a pro rata basis if you join the club after 1st August. Fees can be paid by cash, cheque or standing order, bank details can be found on the membership form. All members must return a membership form for their membership to be valid. We need these to ensure all members are properly insured so please get them back to the membership secretary by the end of March.

Our fees are set each year in November at the Club AGM. The new 2024/25 season fees were proposed and passed and can be seen in the table below. New membership forms will be sent out to all members via email shortly.

We accept junior members from 14 - 18 years old. We do occasionally accept junior members from 12-14 but this is on a case by case basis. We would encourage 12-14 year olds to try out many sports and keep active outside rowing as the restricted and repetitive movements in rowing can be detrimental at such a young age. We operate a 'three tries for £15' when a junior is starting. If they decide they like rowing and wish to stay full junior membership is then due less the £15 already paid.

Junior Membership is open to person who are willing to participate, train and compete for the club under our structured programme.

Due to Insurance Restrictions, Junior Members are not allowed to attend the club or use club equipment unsupervised.

Junior membership restrictions:

  • Junior membership requires participants to adhere to a pre specified level of attendance in order to retain their membership.
  • A Junior who joins and competes for another club before the age of 18, (unless set up or approved of by the Juniors coaches), forfeits their Junior membership with immediate effect.

Private Boat Racking

We do have racking for private boats but all private racks are currently full so no new private boats will be accepted. There is a waiting list for private boat space, if you wish to be added to the waiting list please email This email address is being protected from spambots. To be able to race you will need a Scottish Rowing Membership. Club members need to apply for these themselves via the Scottish Rowing Membership system.

Adult Come and Try Sessions

After trying a number of ways of integrating new Adults into the club we have found the best way to manage it is via Come and Try sessions and a Learn to Row course (usually in March). We try to run a couple of each during the course of the year so we can teach groups of adults at the same time and then bring them into our sessions together. If you want to be put on a list to be contacted when we will be running the next Come and Try session or Learn to Row course please email This email address is being protected from spambots.
